  • Outer Shell Design:

Bell built this helmet with a lightweight polycarbonate shell and a high-quality finish on it. The problem with modular helmets has always been issues with the seal and noise, but Bell has vastly improved on this. This helmet was built to be very stable and aerodynamic with a tight seal to resist buffeting and lift.

  • Interior Design:

This helmet best fits intermediate-oval type heads. The liner is very thick and comfortable with no real pressure points on your head. It can also be easily removed and washed.

Speaker pockets have been added for audio speakers. Cheek pads have a nice contour cut to them for great fit and comfort.

A new easy to use magnetic chin strap replaces the previously hard to locate strap on older helmets.

  • Ventilation & Quietness:

Bell Revolver VentsVentilation is not overly impressive, but it’s good enough. The vents are adjustable for easy control of ventilation and temperature. A new chin curtain can be added that helps keep too much cold air out of the helmet.

With noise and buffeting being a common problem for modular helmets, Bell has redesigned the eye port seal which does a great job of keeping that to a minimum.

  • Face Shield:

The Revolver comes with their “NutriFog II” face shield which provides antifog, anti-scratch and UV protection. Underneath it also has an internal sun shade, which allows you to easily switch to a sun visor without having to stop and change shields. It also features the quick-release system that allows you to switch shields fast, easy and without the use of tools.

Overall

The Bell Revolver Evo is well made, comfortable and safe. Improving the eye port seal to reduce noise and buffeting is huge since that is usually the biggest downside to modular helmets.

At the low price point of around $200, this is a solid choice for anyone looking for a modular helmet on a lower budget.
